In Austrian Business Class to Washington D.C.
On 29 June 2015, I made my way to the United States. My boyfriend had already left to visit relatives in Canada and we planned to meet up in North Carolina, where his family lives. As always, I made plans to pack my suitcase days ahead of time to assure bringing the most adorable combinations of outfits. Reality does look slightly different. I got up at about 5 am in the morning, just to make sure I had enough time to pack, since I had done none of this as I had initially planned. What was I thinking - that this habit would suddenly change this time around? There I was, all sleepy, and totally overwhelmed with the contents of my closet. What more would I need than a bikini and a few dresses I thought; then packing a few pullovers and jeans, just in case. (Just in case? In case of what?)
One would think that after traveling extensively for the past 8 years, I am a seasoned enough "suitcase-packer". Sorry to disappoint. Unfortunately, I am not. While the inside of my suitcases are always extremely organized, my clothes folded to perfection, and everything else packed away in their dozens of cute cloth bags, which I collect from around the world, I do find myself unpacking the most random items eventually.
Anyway. I grabbed my belongings and made my way to the airport, my bags filled with the most unneccessary stuff and my tummy filled with anticipation, excitement, and some leftover cherries.
Well, long story short: I sometimes get to fly Austrian Airlines Business Class and today was one of those days. Here are a few impressions from one of the most comfortable flights with the friendliest crew I have ever met.
